A week’s worth of planes, trains and automobiles comes to an end and what a whirlwind it was. Was very honored to see my friend Darren James do exceptually well in the Norhwest 200 which is a motorcycle road race on closed public roads on the northern coast of Ireland. Unbelievable experience to see what warriors these guys really are in their quest to perfect the art of man vs machine. In this part of the world they are regarded as legends and heroes for their will to push the boundaries of control and speed in a way that can only be truly appreciated unless you see it in person.
Unfortunately the races ended with the somber reminder of how fragile life is and how finite mistakes can be. On Thursday, one of our team mates, Ryan Farquar crashed and was air lifted to Belfast to be treated for very serious injuries. Saturday another rider crashed and it took his life on the spot. RIP Malachi Mitchell–Thomas. Both crashes were in front of my friend and it’s devastating to all those involved.
Families, Friends, Fans and fellow Riders alike around the globe feel the pain. A reminder to follow our dreams and do what we love to do for our families, friends and for ourselves. Life is short regardless of how we play so live it, love it and enjoy the moments cause moments don’t come back.
